When you use the services of Conneqtech B.V., it is in almost all cases necessary for us to register your personal data. It is our policy and our goal to handle the personal data we receive from you very carefully and transparently. By means of this Privacy Statement, we would like to let you know how we handle your personal data, for what purposes and how we process and store your personal data. This Privacy Statement therefore applies to all personal data that we process about you when you visit our website, use our services or when we have contact with you.

Who are we?

 

Thanks to its extensive knowledge of the 'Internet Of Things', Conneqtech B.V. offers smart ICT solutions for companies and organisations, with which (traditional) products and services can be connected to the internet. An essential part of Conneqtech's services is the collection, management and analysis of data and user data, including telemetry data from Internet Of Things (IOT) devices.

Conneqtech is understood to mean: the private limited liability company Conneqtech B.V., using the trade names 'Conneqtor', 'My GPS Tracker', and 'NFNTY', affiliated with Conneqtech. Conneqtech B.V. is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under Chamber of Commerce number 63567385 and has its registered office at 3828 AD in Hoogland at Hamseweg number 22.

Why do we collect information and data from you and how do we do that?

Your information and personal data are collected by us and processed to be able to (continue to) offer you our services and products. We would like to build a long-term relationship with you so that we can continue to be of service to you in the future. We may be able to make you offers that are of interest to you, based on the services you have purchased from us in the past and your interests. Below you will find an overview of the methods in which we collect and process information and personal data from you. We do this directly, through third parties or automatically:

 

Direct:

We collect and manage information directly, i.e. directly from you, when you purchase the services and/or products manufactured by us or when you purchase a product, where our app is an integral part of that product. In addition, we collect information from you when you request information from us about our products and services, contact us or otherwise use our services and products. The following is an overview of the personal data that we process, depending on the service you use.

 

When you use our services as a customer and therefore as a user, we may process the following personal data about you:

·       Your (invoice and postal) address details;

·       Your phone number;

·       Your e-mail address;

·       Your IP address;

·       Your payment information, including a bank account number, credit or debit card number, and your purchase history;

·       Your internet browser and device type;

·       Other personal data that you actively provide to us, for example by means of our website, by e-mail in correspondence and by telephone.

 

If you are not a customer/user of ours, we do not process any of your personal data.

 

 

When you use the following Conneqtech portals (fmv.conneq.tech), the following direct and indirect personal data of yours may be processed:

·       Your location data and data associated with it to determine your location, including speed, distance, date, time, usage data, etc.

You are not obliged to provide us with any personal data. If you do not or do not want to do so, it is possible that you will not be able to use our services and products or only to a small extent.

 

Through third parties:

We may also collect information about you from third parties. For example, we may collect your name, email address and other information provided by you from social media platforms when you interact with us through social media.

 

Automatic:

We automatically collect information – including personal data – from you through cookies, web beacons and other technologies when you visit our website or use our services, including our apps. The information we collect automatically includes, but is not limited to: domain name, browser type and operating system, web pages viewed, links clicked, Internet Protocol (IP) address, time spent on the website and/or use of our services, and the referring URL or the web page that led you to our website. To the extent permitted by law or with your consent, we may combine this information we collect about you with other information.

What do we use your information for?

We use your information, including your personal data, for the following purposes:

·       To be able to provide our products and services to you; to accept, verify, process and deliver orders and returns; to process payments; for warranty, technical support or other similar purposes; to create and maintain customer accounts.

·       Create and maintain vendor management for vendor management purposes, provide the requested products and services, and perform other operations for vendor management purposes. The information we collect from our suppliers is also used for the purposes set out in this section.

·       For customer service purposes, including for warranty, technical support, or other similar purposes; to respond to your inquiries and for other purposes for which you contact us.

·       Communication, to be able to communicate with you. We may contact you in a variety of ways, including by post, email, telephone and/or text message.

·       Administrative purposes, including to manage our inventory; to help us better understand access to and use of our website; to provide information and reports to our investors, potential partners, service providers, regulators and others; to provide security, anti-piracy, fraud prevention and other services designed to protect our customers, users, suppliers, ourselves and public order;  to introduce and enforce; to enforce this policy, our terms, and other policies.

·       Research and development purposes, including to improve our website, products, services, and customer experience; to understand our customer and user data; and for other research and analytical purposes.

·       Legal compliance, to comply with applicable legal obligations, including responding to a subpoena or court order.

·       To protect ourselves and others when we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, alleged fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, or violations of our terms or policies.

·       Marketing, where required by law, to the extent permitted by law or with your explicit consent for marketing and proportional purposes, including via email. For example, we may use your information, such as your email address, to send you news and newsletters, exclusive offers and promotions, or to otherwise contact you about products, services or information that we believe may be of interest to you. We may also use your information to enable us to advertise our services on third-party websites or through other channels.

 

When may we disclose your information?

We may disclose your information, including your personal information, in the following ways:

·       Affiliates and Subsidiaries. We may disclose your information to current or future affiliates or subsidiaries for the purposes described above under "What do we use your information for"? We may also share your information for storage purposes with one of our shareholders, Allegion Group, which is located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), namely in the United States.

·       Users of our website. A username or any information you post on our website, including images without restrictions, comments and text may be available to all users of our website and may be made publicly available after posting.

·       Service providers. We may disclose personal data to third-party suppliers, service providers, contractors or other third parties to enable them to perform actions on behalf of Conneqtech or our affiliated labels and companies. For example, these service providers may help us administer our website, process data, including, for example, job applications, administration or payments. Conneqtech will enter into a processing agreement with these service providers, whereby Conneqtech obliges these service providers to handle your personal data with care.

·       Other Unaffiliated Third Parties. To the extent permitted by law or with your consent, we may disclose your information to third parties with whom we have a marketing or other relationship for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking Mechanisms

We and our affiliates and subsidiaries use cookies, tracking pixels and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our website and the services available through our website. We may combine this information with other information we have received about you.

Clear GIFs are small images with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, which are invisibly embedded on web pages. Through our website(s) and apps, cookies are placed by the American company Google, as part of their "Analytics" service. We use the services of Google Analytics to gain insight into the use of our website(s) by visitors.

The information we collect in this way is anonymized as much as possible and stored on Google's servers in the United States. Your IP address will not be provided. On the website of www.google-analytics.com you will find their privacy policy. With Google Analytics and Firebase, we collect the following data, among others:

Analysis for management information:

Some of your data may be used for management information. This includes, for example, data such as your use, family composition and the country and province where you live. Your data is always completely anonymized and cannot be traced back to you as a person.

 

International Transfers of Personal Data

We may use, disclose, process, transfer or store personal information outside of the country in which it was collected, such as the United States where our shareholder Allegion is located. This country may not provide the same level of protection with respect to personal data as the country in which you are located.

In addition, there are situations where personal data is transferred to third-party service providers (sub-processors in the United States or other countries) to provide services to Conneqtech, such as payment processing, web hosting, etc. Conneqtech uses third-party service providers (sub-processors) to process data for support service-related and administrative purposes. When Conneqtech engages another company to perform a function of this nature, Conneqtech will require such a party to protect Conneqtech's personal data and they will not be authorized to use this personal data for any other purpose.

 

For what purpose / on what basis do we process your personal data?

Necessary for the execution of the agreement we enter with you:

Your personal data is processed when you purchase one of our services and products. We need your personal data for the execution of the agreement between you and Conneqtech. If you do not provide us with the personal data requested by us, you will not be able to use our services, or you will only be able to use part of them, or you will only be able to purchase them from us.

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

Ø  To enable you to use our services and products;

Ø  Collecting, analysing, managing, storing, and processing the information obtained from it, including personal data;

Ø  Sending our newsletters, e-mails and/or offers;

Ø  To be able to call and/or e-mail you if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you;

Ø  To inform you about changes to our services, products, and updates;

Ø  More generally, to be able to enable and optimize our products and services for you.

When processing your personal data, we comply with the legal requirements as laid down in the GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation.

Therefore, there is always a legal basis for processing your personal data. In doing so, we have carefully weighed up your interests and those of our organisation.

 

For a legitimate organisational interest:

There is a legitimate organisational interest of Conneqtech for the processing – including the storage, storage and security of your personal data in the context of improving our services, for example but not exclusively by means of marketing activities, surveys and conducting studies. In this way, we can continuously improve our services, including through direct marketing.

 

We process your data at contact moments with our company through our website or with one of our employees, so that we can quickly handle your questions, complaints or remarks and thus help you adequately. This way of working also enables us to build a lasting relationship with you, which we would like to aspire to and for which we will (continue to) do our absolute best.

 

Legal obligation:

The processing and therefore the storage of some of your personal data is necessary in order to comply with legal obligations.

If we need more personal data from you, we will ask for your explicit permission to do so.

 

How long do we keep your personal data?

We do not store your personal data any longer than is necessary to achieve the objectives set out in this privacy statement, unless we have received your explicit and demonstrable permission to store your data for a longer period of time, for example to improve our services, and unless there is a legal obligation that requires us to retain your personal data for a longer period of time. 

 

Financial data:

We keep our financial records for 10 years. This means that all your data and documents relating to the financial transactions between you and Conneqtech will be stored for 10 years after you have purchased our products and services.

 

Data during our contact moments:

Contact moments with our customer service via chat will be deleted within 14 days after the contact moment, unless the content of the messages is important for the service or product you purchase from us or for any future services or products. Recorded phone calls and WhatsApp conversations will be deleted within three months. E-mail messages sent to you or received by us and complaints submitted by you will be kept for a maximum of 10 years.

 

Processing of personal data with your consent:

We will retain personal data that we process with your consent until you withdraw your consent and have informed us in writing. If you have not logged in to us for two years or more, we will automatically delete your account data. We will also delete your account and personal data if you decide to delete your account, we will automatically delete all personally identifiable information.

 

How is your personal data protected and where do we store it?

We take the security of your personal data very seriously. We have taken technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful use, such as unauthorised access to your personal data. This considers the state of the art and the costs of implementation, so that we can guarantee you an appropriate level of security, given the risks posed by the processing and the nature of the data to be protected. Our policy is aimed at ensuring that only those employees of Conneqtech have access to your personal data who need access for the performance of their work. Confidentiality has been agreed with all Conneqtech employees to strengthen your privacy and an individual privacy statement has been established with them.

 

Your data will be stored on European territory. For the proper functioning of our services, so-called sub-processors have been engaged. These sub-processors act solely on behalf of Conneqtech and only when the sub-processors in question have taken sufficient guarantees regarding the technical and organisational security measures. These appropriate safeguards consist of Binding Corporate Rules, approved standard data protection clauses and the EU-US Privacy Shield.

 

Users are responsible for protecting the username or user ID for use on our website and are responsible for any misuse or unauthorized use of our website through their password and user ID. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords.

 

If you, as a user, have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you believe that the security of your account with us has been compromised), you should contact us immediately  by privacy@conneqtech.com or by letter to our address at 2838 AD in Hoogland at Hamseweg number 22,  Attn. the Privacy Officer.

Your rights: accessing, modifying, restricting, or deleting data
You have the right to access, correct, restrict, or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data or to object to the processing of your personal data by us.

 

You can always choose not to provide information data and personal data to us, although this may be necessary to be able to use our services and products.

 

You also have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have about you, for example in our computer file, to you or to another organisation or company named by you.

 

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data portability of your personal data or a request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to privacy@conneqtech.com

 

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as soon as possible, within four weeks at the latest.

 

You also have the right to restrict our processing of your data when:

·       You contest the accuracy of the personal data until we have taken adequate steps to correct or verify it;

·       The processing is unlawful, but you do not want us to delete the data;

·       We no longer need the personal data for the processing, but you need this personal data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;

·       You have objected to processing based on a legitimate interest (see below), pending verification of whether the company has compelling legitimate grounds to continue the processing.

 

Where personal data is restricted in this way, we will only process it with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Complaints

Conneqtech would also like to point out that you have the possibility to file a complaint about the way in which we handle your personal data. You can let us know by sending us an e-mail message on privacy@conneqtech.com or by sending us a letter to our address at 3828 AD in Hoogland at Hamseweg number 22, for the attention of the Privacy Officer. We will do our best to resolve your complaint as soon as possible.
